What’s your day job? Team Lead
What’s your past biking experience? Mostly for leisure and training for fundraiser rides, like CHEO and United Way. This will be my third B4UW ride in the county with the OPS.
What’s your inspiration for this ride? I like that I can support the United Way programs and local communities through fundraising for these rides and challenge myself in a fun and healthy way at the same time.
How are you preparing for B4UW? My go-to for training this year has been on my spin-bike (Peloton). With the nicer weather upon us I am looking forward to hitting the roads with local cycling friends while exploring the surrounding Ottawa area.
What do you think will be your greatest challenge on the ride? Keeping up with the more experienced riders!
What do you like to do other than riding your bike? I love getting outside, so pretty much any activity outdoors is my go-to; long hikes with my pups and children are how I reset myself. You can also often find me on the water kayaking or dragon boat racing with a group of amazing women!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I have officially entered the stage of my parenting life where I have assumed the role of mom-taxi! The pay is terrible, but occasionally I receive tips in the form of hugs and genuine appreciation from my children. 😛
